The general mood in the state was captured in a post on X by Deputy Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Akinyode Abidemi Oyewusi on Monday.

He sent his message under the subject, ‘One year of monumental development & dedication to the progress of Osun State, with Gov Adeleke in open copy.

“@AAdeleke_01, The last 365 days have been filled with monumental developments and a firm dedication to better the fortunes of Osun State across all sectors, (Agriculture, Education, Health, Empowerment, Welfare of Workers, Infrastructure, Youth and Special Needs, Environment among others).

“Undoubtedly, you have stood before your people and the rest of the world that your administration will pursue a 5-point agenda that includes; “first line charge for workers’ welfare, salaries, gratuities, and pensions.”.

“Others on the list are: “Boosting state economy by business partnering and support for business class; Osun money serving Osun people through homegrown infrastructure policy; People-focused social policy through skill-based education, affordable health care, state security, and social security support; and Agro-based Industrialisation for wealth and job creation for youths and women.”

“You have done all these and even more in a year. In your people-oriented administration, you have silenced the pessimists with unprecedented achievements. Yes, the mantra now is, ” Osun4Osun”

He rounded-off with a quote from Narendra Modi that depicts Sen Adeleke’s administration as pro-people and proactive.

‘”Mere good governance is not enough; it has to be pro-people and proactive. Good governance is putting people at the center of the development process”- Narendra Modi,’ he added.
