Polygamy: Yul Edochie's second marriage is betrayal of trust – Daddy Freeze

Radio broadcaster, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has reacted to Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s constant updates on his polygamous life.

Taking to his social media page on Saturday, Daddy Freeze said that Yul betrayed his wife’s love and trust by impregnating and marrying one of his female colleagues.

Polygamy, according to Daddy Freeze, isn’t a sin or a crime, but how Yul done his own makes it unacceptable.

He also contrasted Yul’s lifestyle to Regina Daniels and Mercy Aigbe, who entered a polygamous marriage on purpose and are happy in their marriage.

He went on to say that Yul lacked the ability to marry several wives while advising him to keep his marriage off social media.

In his words: “my brother, there is nothing wrong with polygamy. Many African traditions encourage it, Islam also recommends it in certain situations, while the Bible isn’t against it.

“However, polygamy is a luxury that is not meant for the struggling class. It is a privilege meant for the wealthy. Ned Nwoko owns a Ferrari and a private jet and can maintain them, while we are all privy to pics of Mercy Aigbe flying business class and are also aware that her hubby is quite wealthy.

“Can Yul really afford those luxuries, let’s be honest with ourselves; or are the resources meant for May and her Children going to be slashed to accommodate more people?
Furthermore, Ned, just like Mercy Aigbe’s hubby is a Muslim.

“All Ned’s wives are aware he is polygamous. Yul on the other hand married May in court, in a monogamous agreement, which now suggests bigamy in my opinion and moreso a betrayal of trust, so the situations are not the same at all o.

“Let me also use this medium to urge Yul to keep his marriages off social media. The regular updates and all are hurting his first wife in more ways than he can imagine and creating the forum for online in-laws to share opinions.”

Yul Edochie who is unashamed of his actions, had listed the several achievements his second marriage brought to his family.

His First wife, May Yul Edochie, had gotten her first endorsement, something that had never happened before the controversy.

He recognized that he had upset his wife in various ways, but he made an earnest apology to her.

Counting his blessings even further, he added that the scandal has increased his celebrity and brought Judy into the forefront.

Lagos Pastor Suspends Offering Collection

Published

on

A pastor in Lagos has become the focus of public interest after a video surfaced showing him declaring the suspension of offering collections during church services.

Speaking in English and Yoruba, the pastor explained that the decision was prompted by the prevailing circumstances in the country.

He assured his congregation that foregoing offerings wouldn’t lead to financial struggles for pastors, expressing confidence in their reliance on divine providence.

The pastor’s message received enthusiastic applause from the church members, and he urged fellow clergy across the nation to consider a similar approach.

He said “Don’t collect offerings today, for now because of the situation in this country. For now, we are pending the offering.

“All pastors should notice that pending the situation of this country, we should stop the collection of offerings. The reason is that a church member can come to church spending N1000 as a fare, and still give an offering and may trek back home.

“Am I making sense? Not giving an offering doesn’t mean the pastor would starve, if truly he was called. But for now, till the fuel pump price will fall, in our church…we are not collecting offerings for.

“Come and serve your God and go home. Until the price of petrol comes down. It is not easy. You are going to work tomorrow, you don’t know, maybe the transport fare to Mushin would be N500 or N700.

“For all pastors, stop collecting offerings. There’s one thing I want to say, stop collecting offerings for now. Stop collecting offerings for now.”he added
