Whackjobs’ and ‘Lunatics’ – Trump Blasts Democrats Over Impeachment Plot

U.S. President Donald Trump has accused Democratic lawmakers of reigniting efforts to impeach him, claiming that at least two members of Congress have already initiated a new push to remove him from office.

In a fiery post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, Trump described the Democrats as “out of control” and accused them of attempting to use impeachment as a political weapon.

“The Democrats are really out of control. They have lost everything, especially their minds! These Radical Left Lunatics are into the ‘Impeachment thing’ again,” Trump wrote.

The Republican leader alleged that two “little respected” Democratic congressmen—whom he described as “total Whackjobs”—are behind the latest impeachment talk, despite having no clear charges against him.

Trump further criticized the Democratic Party for past policy failures, citing issues such as border security, inflation, the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the October 7th attack on Israel.

He insinuated that any impeachment effort would be a diversion from these failures.

“These Congressmen stated that they didn’t know why they would impeach me but, ‘We just want to do it,’” Trump claimed, calling on Republicans to consider expelling the lawmakers over alleged crimes, particularly those tied to election conduct.

He also revived old grievances about previous investigations and impeachments during his first term, taking aim at figures like Rep. Adam Schiff and members of the House Select Committee that investigated the January 6 Capitol riot.

“Perhaps we should start playing this game on them, and expel Democrats for the many crimes that they have committed,” Trump added.
